Xande Anderer has worked as a freelance graphic designer and technical illustrator since 1992. Following his graduation cum laude from Penn State University in 1992, he held several graphic design positions in the Washington, DC area. After serving as Art Director at Vietnam Veterans of America, he decided to try his hand as a “designer in exile.” Taking full advantage of all of the resources of the information age, Xande has managed to build an impressive list of Washington-area clients. Projects for these clients have ranged from advertising campaigns and publications to elaborate technical illustrations for books and publications like Scientific American and Military History. In February 2000, he took the plunge, leaving his position as an in-house graphic designer to start his own freelance design firm, Citizen X. He is a member of the the Graphic Artists Guild, and the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington.
